(Luke - ONE DAY OLD)
Luke has been growing so much. This post is all about his growth during his first three months!
When Luke was born he was 7 lbs, 15 oz. He was 19 inches tall.
At his ONE WEEK appointment, Luke was 8 lbs (42nd percentile) and 20 inches long (43rd percentile), and his head was 14 inches (32nd percentile).
When he was two weeks old, we went back for another check up. Luke was 9.3 lbs (64th percentile) and 21.5 inches tall (79th percentile). His head was 14.5 inches (31st percentile).
Then we went back to the doctor when he was ONE MONTH old, and then again when he was TWO MONTHS old. Here are some pictures and stats from the past three months.
ONE MONTH OLD:
Weight: 12 lb, 9 oz (97th percentile)
Length: 22 inches (61st percentile)
Head circumference: 15.25 inches (57th percentile)
Colleen came over to our house and took some newborn photos for us!
Luke celebrated his first Easter.
He slept a lot.
Mommy likes these pictures, because it looks like he's thinking.
Then, suddenly comes up with a great idea!
And he's happy about it!
(Luke learned how to smile just before he was one month old.)
TWO MONTHS OLD:
Weight: 15 lbs (98th percentile)
Length: 23.25 inches (63rd percentile)
Head circumference: 16 inches (67th percentile)
Luke's 2 month photo:
Luke enjoyed his first visit to the beach. (Thanks Grammy and Grampa!)
He continued to fall asleep every single time Mommy put him down for tummy time.
He slept through a visit to the zoo.
He got cuter and cuter!
Almost THREE MONTHS OLD:
(Luke does not have a 3 month doctor appointment. He won't go back until he is four months old. BUT, he weighs almost 17 pounds according to our bathroom scale, and he wears 6/9 month clothes!)
During this month, Luke learned how to laugh. His first laugh was for Grampa, but Mommy and Daddy heard it the next day on May 25th!
Luke's 3 month picture:
He practiced sitting in his (Katie's old purple) Bumbo seat.
He still loves sleeping!
What?! An awake tummy time?!?
Sleeping again!
Luke got too heavy to be carried in his infant carrier, so he got moved to the big carseat. We think he likes it pretty well!
He enjoyed his first movie at the park ... and we all stayed up way too late!
So, in summary: In Luke's first three months, he has learned to smile, celebrated Easter, traveled to Augusta and Hilton Head Island, slept a lot, practiced holding up his head, visited the zoo, gone to the UGA spring football game, seen a play (that Aunt Bess directed), gone to a baseball game (where Uncle Matthew was the coach), visited Mommy's class at school, watched a movie and a dance recital (all on the same day), learned to laugh, and much more! He has been a busy boy, and he has so much more to learn and do as he continues to grow!
